Each year, the Finnish Centre for Pensions grants a Pro Gradu Award to a distinguished Master’s thesis. The award is 2,000 euros. Proposal for the award must be presented on 14 March 2025 at the latest.

The award is granted to a distinguished thesis accepted at a Finnish university in 2024 on a topic of interest to pension provision.

“Pensions can be studied within many disciplines and from very different angles, by both sociologists, humanists, and mathematicians. We look forward to receving many excellent nominations also this years,” says Head of Research Susan Kuivalainen at the Finnish Centre for Pensions.

Send in your nomination for the Pro Gradu Award by e-mail to tutkimus(at)etk.fi on 14 March 2025 at the latest. The winner will be announced at the turn of May-June.

In 2024 the award was awarded to diploma engineer Pellervo Ruponen. In his master’s thesis, Ruponen examined the classification of texts in the assessment of disability pension applications.
